Championships
Mens Singles Championship Final was played Friday 13th Jan at 5pm between Martin Troster and Jim Fary.
Conrgratulation to Jim on his win.
Ladies Singles Championship Final was played Sunday 22nd at 10.30am between Noelle Kenley and Victoria Troster
Congratulation to Victoria Troster on her solid performance and win.
Ladies Pairs Championship Final was played on Friday 13th Jan at 2pm between Deb Handley & Bev Munis and Stefanie & Victoria Troster. Congratulations to Deb and Bev on their win.
Mens Pairs Championship will be contested by Barrie Epstein & John Barton versus Steve Ribarich & Cyril Dunstan - Sunday 19th February commencing 10.30am

Champion of Champions
For those members able to make it, why not go and cheer on our club singles champions in their respective events!
- Victoria Troster due to play Wednesday Feb 8th will not be competing due to her singles and pairs commitments with the U18 Victorian Squad Test against Tasmania at Clayton BC commencing 7th Feb
- Jim Fary will play Sunday Feb 12th at Bennettswood commencing 10am.

"Club fours and triples"
In an attempt to attract more participants to our traditional "club fours and triples" championships, the Saturday Section committee has decided to conduct this event as a "Format" Fours and Triples. What this means is that all Saturday Section players have been allocated "format ranking points" whereby the higher numbered sides have a greater weighting than the lower sides. In this way an accumulative points total will apply to teams competing and thus excluding a collective of higher side players in any one team.
Whilst we recognise this is a break from tradition and these are honor board events, we would appreciate your understanding of this format along with the reasons behind the change. Let's have everyone available participate! It should make for some exciting teams and opportunities!

Triples commence Friday 16th March at 5pm
Fours commence Saturday 17th March at 10.30am then 1.30pm
Notice to Saturday Pennant players
Over the next two Saturdays the manager of each home side will hand out the customary "intention to play pennant form" for the 2012 - 2013 season.
Please make sure you receive and complete yours and do so by the last game of the home and away pennant season for this year.
It is imperative the club and the selectors know your intentions for the next season.
Steve Glasson Sports Night & Dinner
Tuesday 28th February at 6.30pm
This fantastic night is approaching so make sure you get your names in.
All club members are most welcome of course, however why not bring a friend or two as well.
The night is open to visitors also.
A great meal is part of the night and the opportunity to listen to the experiences and stories from some of the best Australian and International bowlers such as Steve Glasson, Kelvin Kerkow, Karen Murphy, Kay Moran, Mark Jacobsen.
A set of new bowls will be raffled on the night just to make things even more exciting!

More Success for Mt Waverley
Congratulations to some of Mt Waverley's youngest players and stars, Natasha Russell and Victoria Troster.
The girls played superbly well during the recent Victorian U18 Pairs Championships held at Clayton BC, going down in the final to U18 State Representatives Kylie Whitehead and Stephanie Priest.
This is yet another magnificent achievement! Well done girls.
Mount Waverley is well know for its yearly tournaments.
 This season is no exception.
For all those wishing to participate in any of our tournaments we suggest you take a look at our tournaments page, arrange your teams and get your entries in.
As always these are filling fast, some are already full with waiting lists.
The Barton Shield even offers a NEW set of bowls for each of the winning team members.
Oh yeah...then there is the Steve Glasson Sports Dinner, this too is filling fast.
So.... get cracking! Even though these tournaments are still a little way off.
